G&T Podcast Star Wars Spoilercast

Hey guys,

What did we think of it?

What did we think of it?

We are giving you fair warning that this week's G&T Podcast episode is going to be split into two parts. The first part will be the usual show with conversation focused on our viewing/gaming habits, but also on Travis' trip to Japan.

However, the second half will be a full spoiler-centric conversation about Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

If you want to remain spoiler-free then do not, I repeat, DO NOT listen to the second half of the show.

Episode 38: G&T vs Imaginarium of The Masses

While we've got you, why not head over to https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/g-t-podcast-fried-brain-productions/id957337502?mt=2 and leave us a review! It all helps with exposure, improving the show and will put a big-ol' smile on our faces!

Lastly, we are starting the process of developing a little but of merchandising for G&T Podcast. As keen listeners of the show will know, Travis' favourite line is "Smell of an oily rag". Well, we are turning this into a tee shirt!

Travis’ viewing/gaming habits:
1)  Black Hat
2) Mad Max

George’s viewing/gaming habit:
1)  Ant Man
2) Scrooged

We also discuss our thoughts on the freshly released X-Men: Apocalypse trailer.

Then Travis challenges George to a spur-of-the-moment Imaginarium task... Choose any of the Studio Ghibli movies and adapt it to live-action.

Episode 37: The Untitled Episode AKA: The Titled Episode

While we've got you, why not head over to https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/g-t-podcast-fried-brain-productions/id957337502?mt=2 and leave us a review! It all helps with exposure, improving the show and will put a big-ol' smile on our faces!

George's review of Nine

This Week’s Terrible Movie Challenge comes from the wonderful world of Scottish Lawn Bowls
Travis' pick lost and now he has to watch the paling in comparison and rubbish in its own right, The Pink Panther from 2006.

Review of Ghost In The Shell

George and Travis’ Top Five Coming of Age Films.

George:
1)  Toy Story 3
2) Labyrinth

3) Almost Famous
4) The Virgin Suicides
5) Dazed and Confused

Also, 500 Days of Summer

A treat compared to Caffeine

After losing last week's Terrible Movie Challenge, George has to watch Ed.

Considering it is on iTunes, we can assume that it is either:

1) Better than Caffeine

2) Comically worse than Caffeine

3) A programmer at iTunes has an odd sense of humour

The question isn't if it'll be any good, but will it still be better than Spice World or Caffeine?

Episode 34: Welcome to The Animal Kingdom

Before we get started, we have a quick discussion about the new Star Wars trailer. We briefly drift into Star Trek as well.

Travis’ viewing/gaming habits:

The best got better.

The best got better.

Walking Dead Season 6, Dragon Age: Inquesition. GTV 5.

George’s viewing/gaming habit:

An under-rated classic.

An under-rated classic.

Star Wars Rebels season 1, House of Cards, Jurassic World, John Carter, the Total Recall remake. The Decoy Bride, Safety Not Guaranteed. The Italian Job. Gamer. The Net. Preparation for Fallout 4.

Travis’ review of The Lawnmower Man 2:

worse than Old Dogs but not a painful experience. The Prologue makes a bit of sense, then it goes downhill. Targeted at young boys and piss-poor.

Maybe not a classic.

Maybe not a classic.

This Week’s Terrible Movie Challenge comes from the wonderful world of Argentinian Basketball. Sionista Vs Quimsa.
After losing the coin toss, Travis chose Sionista and won. Travis' team lost and so he must watch the terrible, the woeful, the painful Bratz! Meanwhile, because George won four times in a row, he had to spin the wheel of Heigl and must watch Caffiene.

Review of Animal Kingdom.

A bleak and talented Australian movie.

Next week’s Movie Will Be… Predestination.

Episode 31: Lamenting Lantana

G&T Podcast Episode 31.

We discuss the mystery of celebrity as Melbourne

Travis’ viewing/gaming habits:

The first season of Fear of The Walking Dead. Really enjoying it but it is very much a slow burn.

Under the Skin with Scarlet Johannson. Sci Fi about Scarlet picking up men, seducing them and sucks the life out of them. Very left-field: 2001'ish and not much narrative.

Zero Dark Thirty. An entrée of a future film season about post 9/11?

George’s viewing/gaming habit:

Still obsessing over Metal Gear Solid V. I really don’t care about the story whatsoever, but the gameplay mechanics are simply a joy.

Super Mario Maker is a phenomenal tool with just so much potential, it’s a little scary.

The oddest thing about these two games is that they both have huge scope and i’m usually scared of taking on games of this magnitude

Continued watching Hannibal and it remains superb. It is going to be a huge quality void and makes me wonder what will be “The Next Hannibal”

Finally, as with the last few weeks, I’ve been keeping up with the amine shows, Fairy Tale, Food Wars, One Piece

We also watched Everest at the cinema. Forgettable.

Travis’ review of Hercules In New York:

Arnold Schwarzenegger in his first movie. 1969. Hercules wants to return to Earth.

Student film would be an insult to student films.

This Week’s Challenge:

The wonderful world of e-Sports and the DOTA 2 Nanyang Championship. Vega Squadron vs NIP.

After the coin toss, George chose the Vega Squadron. He lost.

Review of Lantana.

Wow, it’s a depressing movie with extremely sombre performances.

Next week’s Movie Will Be…
