Starting off the show, we talk about AEW and Indie wrestling. Travis then discusses the new BBC show, Years and Years, as well as the new Rick and Morty. Then we tangent off to South Park and the potential staying power of Rick and Morty for years to come.
Next up, we have a conversation about the new Netflix Stephen King movie, The Tall Grass, Doctor Sleep, and the documentary Room 237. We both come to the conclusion that — when it comes to Stephen King — we’ve been stung too many times to watch movies based on his work at the cinema.

Then we have a very brief, and off-the-cuff “movies of 2019” review and find ourselves rather unimpressed. Nothing particularly bad, but no real stand-out… Lots of big-budget franchise sequels that were rather uninspired.

Lastly, George talks quickly about Luigi’s Mansion 3 and the Amazon Prime series, Jack Ryan. He likes them both immensely.

This week we return after Travis' US trip. We talk about Joker, Travis has finally played Breath of the Wild, George has been playing The Witcher 3, and they ramble as only they can.

Greetings and Salutations!

This week, George watched the Netflix special, Invader Zim: Enter The Florpus; he finally watched Spider-Man: Into The Spider-verse on Amazon Prime Video, and has ventured further into The Wheel of Time Saga care of Audible.

Meanwhile Travis watched Season 2 of the Netflix show, Mindhunter, and the Dirty Harry movie, The Dead Pool.

We also talk about Disney+ officially coming to Australia, the future of Spider-man and the MCU, and The Matrix 4.

Hey folks,

This week Travis and George didn’t have a huge amount of time to watch things, but they still cobbled together a show for ya!

Travis spoiled himself by getting a wire-free Oculus Rift. He also dove back into the world of Far Cry 5 — or more specifically the Vietnam expansion missions.
Next he watched Season 3 of Glow on Netflix. While it started well, he felt it lost a little gusto towards the end.

Then Travis (and George slightly) talk about the new album from Slipnot; We Are Not Your Kind. It’s good so far. It’s different, but good.

George then confesses his love of Meat Loaf and he re-listened to Bat out of Hell: Back Into Hell. He also consumed the Netflix special, Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling, and Wu Assassins. Both shows kinda underwhelmed, but would probably be enjoyed in some fashion.

This week Travis went down memory lane, visiting 1970's cinema-land and (in particular) San Francisco. He watched Dirty Harry, and Bullit.

Both Trav, and George smashed through Season 1 of The Boys. While Travis really enjoyed it, George found that it was missing emotional gut-punching to pair with the more visceral imagery.

George also binged NOS4A2, a supernatural, horror series featuring Zachary Quinto as the near-titular sucker. He's not your usual vampire, and the heroes of this series are an interesting bunch. A fever-dream of a story that's hard to explain.

Lastly, George listened to the new album from the Melbourne-base group, The Taskey Brothers: Run Home Slow.

After a few weeks of house moving, and finishing a book, Travis and George actually had some time to watch some things.

George has binge-watched Season 1 of Another Life on Netflix, he re-watched Alita Battle Angel (now available on physical and digital release), and Hellboy (2019).

Meanwhile, Travis has met someone. . . or rather he's met a few someones. . . he's met The Boys (on Amazon Prime), and he's in love.

He's also discovered enjoyment in a series called Shtisel, a series from Israel.

Sadly there was a screw-up with the recording via Zoom this week and we lost the last third of the show.

Hopefully we will be able to find it somehow.

This week Travis does most of the talking as George has been deep into finishing my book.
It’s also the first time we’ve done a remote show since G&T Podcast. . . so quiet a while!

In this new episode Travis and George talk through their thoughts of the latest Spider-Man movie, lament not having more of Jake Gyllenhaal. George talks a little about the new season of Stranger Things on Netflix, as well as two audiobooks, Too Like The Lightning by Ada Palmer, and The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.

Elsewhere, Travis continues to morph into an alternate reality version of himself as he has found yet another musical he enjoyed, Come from Away. He also lambasts the trailers for the new Jumanji movie, Hobbs and Shaw, and The Lion King.

This week, Travis reviews Toy Story 4, I am Mother on Netflix and the first few hours of The Last of Us on PS4 . . . he remains woefully m’eh! Meanwhile George started watching Hanna on Amazon Prime and is finding its pacing chances from the movie tough to digest.

Returning to the normal format, Travis gives his thoughts on Season 5 of Black Mirror and George tried to work out how he felt about the final season of Jessica Jones

This week George put a lot of effort into watching something that wasn’t 10, 15 or 20 years old. He watched Good Omens on Amazon Prime and checked out Godzilla 2 at the cinema.
