Episode 65: Streets of Fire
This week Travis and George watched the 1984 cult movie, Streets of Fire. There are some very clear connections to The Warriors that both fellas felt, specifically from the Xbox game of the same name.
Travis then talks about how much he likes The Mandalorian.
George went into the way-back machine and watched the Disney ‘classic’, The Rocketeer. Travis lays down the challenge for George to watch the latest Rick and Morty, as well as the new Netflix series, Midnight Gospel.
George then offers up yet another big-budget Disney flop for the ‘actually great awards’ known as Prince of Persia.
Lastly, the boys talk about the France DLC for World War Z, and Streets of Rage 4

Episode 64: Commando Love
This week Travis and George discuss World War Z on XBox… in spite of George’s Online game curse.
We talk through our thoughts on the various incarnations of Watchmen.
George waxes lyrical about Westworld Season 3 and the possibility of a Season 4. He then talks about the turbulent issues of His Dark Materials Season 1 as well as some early thoughts on Doom Patrol Season 1.
This skews us into a mini-topic of the under-appreciated talent of Alan Tudyk.
Travis talks about The Beasty Boys Story care of Spike Jonz (George gets Spike Jonz and Spike Lee mixed up along the way) from Apple TV.
Travis finally understands the genius of Commando from Arnie.
Finally, they talk about Taika Waititi taking on Star Wars, and George posits the idea of a Cinema App. Imagine it, you have a membership to a Cinema chain app that allows you to stream new releases directly home, or to be able to go to the cinema itself for the cinema experience.
Episode 63: The Life of Terminator, Commando, Zombies and Female Roles
This week, Travis and I — once again — pitch Porky’s in Space. Then Travis gives a review of Terminator Darak Fate; George wonders if there is room for a Life of Brian variation of The Terminator, and the possibility of The Lost Years of a Terminator for Love, Death, and Robots.
Talk of Terminator leads us into discussing female roles in cinema, and how they are still not being served properly.
Travis confesses that he has never seen Commando, so has chosen to watch it for next week’s show. He also gives a review of The Hunt with Hilary Swank.
The latter part of the show, George talks about Streaming in the Pandemic. Then he talks more about Westworld Season 3, Hannibal Season 3, and the Arkane Studios game, Dishonoured 2.
Lastly, Travis briefly talks about World War Z on Xbox Live.
Episode 62: Reviewing The Gentlemen and Tales from the Loop
On request from one of our live viewers, Travis and George watched The Gentlemen. The Gentlemen is the latest movie from Guy Richie, starring Matthew McConaughey, and Charlie Hunnam.
We also watched the new Amazon Prime show, Tales from the Loop.
On this week’s show, Travis and George review The Gentlemen, and some early thoughts on Tales From The Loop, and George started watching Season 3 of Westworld on Foxtel. Travis watched the James Mangold-directed Ford Vs Ferrari biopic care of the Play store. George watched Phantom of the Opera on YouTube. Travis watched Planet of the Humans on Youtube. George watched the (temporarily) final Fox X-Men Movie, X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Travis played some Cricket game on Xbox Game Pass… Ashes Cricket 2019…?

Fairy Tail via Anime Lab. An anime series following a group of wizards who are part of a Wizard’s guide.
My Hero Academia via Anime Lab. 80% of the world’s population have superpowers (referred to as quirks), This is the story of a young boy who inherits the powers of the greatest hero, All Might.
Mob Psycho 100 via Anime Lab. From the creator of One-Punch Man. ‘Mob’ is an esper — someone with powerful psychic abilities. He is a sweet, shy young man determined to win the affections of his long-time love interest without resorting to his abilities.
Dr. Stone via Anime Lab. A teenage genius named Senku Ishigami revives to find himself in a world where all traces of human civilization have been eroded by time.
In the live-action space, George also watched…
The Night Manager on Amazon Prime Video. Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie star in possibly the best non-Bond spy story of the last twenty years.
Absentia on Amazon Prime Video. Stana Katic stars in a series that tells the story of FBI agent Emily Byrne who disappears without a trace while hunting one of Boston's most notorious serial killers, and she is declared dead in absentia.
Dune on Amazon Prime Video. This series chronicles the fall and rise of House Atreides as the galaxy’s Houses scheme, and murder their way to control of Spice - the most important commodity in existence.
Finally, George got around to playing the Donkey Kong-themed DLC for Mario + Rabbits: Kingdom Battle.

Episode 60: All over the map!
This week, Travis and George have a good, old natter about VR. Particularly talking about Travis’ Oculus Quest, and the games/apps currently available. Is there a killer app for VR yet? Beat Sabre seems to be the uniform front contender for that crown. But we also wonder if VR is going to shine more in the social aspect of society rather than the gaming world.
Next up Travis talks a little about Westworld — don’t worry, there are no spoilers for Season 3.
We talk through our thoughts on the finale of Star Trek: Picard. They are many and they are not exactly happy.
George talks about experiencing two of the Xbox staple games, Gears of War and Halo on Xbox Game Pass. He also tried out Rage 2 with mixed results.
Lastly, Travis watched Superman: Red Son. A WB-animated DC heroes feature film based around the question: What if Superman had landed in Soviet Russia, and not Smallville USA?
Episode 59: The Picard-heavy Episode
This week Travis and I have a deep-dive conversation about Star Trek: Picard and why it’s not working for either of us. Travis then tells us that Batter Call Saul is one of the very best TV shows of all-time.
Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the spectrum, George has been indulging in Kaiju (and Kaiju-like) movies… most notably, Godzilla (2014), and Godzilla 2: King of Monsters.
In gaming news, Travis has spent a little time playing Doom Eternal which, to him at least, feels like its become more of a survival game. The game that hs really stolen Travis’ heart at the moment though is Broforce in all its 8-bit nostalgia glory!
Again, on the opposite end of the spectrum, George has been indulging in the calming delights of Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch. He has also signed up to Xbox Game Pass and played some of Sniper Elite 4. Sadly they have made the game areas too bit and they are far less fun than the tight, narrow streets of Paris from the last game.
